Does TimeStamp Key Even Exist?

Question

I'm sure I'm probably the only one intrrested in this but where in the world is the TimeStamp key? Because there's the ability to customize the TimeStamp Format key but I can't find any such key in the tool bar, text expander, or any of the other sections. I'm currently using the Offline Version but I also couldn't track it down, regardless of manually checking each tab or using the search bar, within the Standard version either.

Yes — it exists, but it is not a built-in toolbar item.

Add it through a custom keyboard layout using the key label timestamp, or use key code -10043. The Timestamp Format setting only controls the text produced by that key; it does not add the key itself.

Format follow-up — 20 October 2026: the reply confirms that the key inserts a timestamp; the remaining issue is applying the custom format. In v4.2.6 Timestamp.kt, the helper reads timestamp_format when it creates the formatter and falls back to the default if formatter construction fails. It uses Java SimpleDateFormat patterns: for example yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss, where MM is month and mm is minute. Check the setting in the same app variant currently selected as the keyboard. The exact entered pattern, inserted text and standard/offline variant are needed to distinguish a pattern issue from a preference or variant issue.

Thanks but I just tried that and it did produce a tikestamp. Although the modifications I made to the fo4mat in the advanced options weren't reflected.

Could you share the exact pattern you entered, the text actually inserted, and whether this is the standard or offline app? Try yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss as a discriminator (MM is month, mm is minute), making the change in the same app variant currently selected as the keyboard.
