Default the CI workflow token to read-only. Only the docs job writes to the repo (gh-pages deploy), so it alone gets contents: write. release.yml already declares its own permissions and is unchanged. Refs SEC-847

What
ci.yml: top-levelpermissions: contents: read;docsjob getscontents: writefor the gh-pages deploy.release.yml: unchanged, because it already declares permissions. Why
ci.ymlhad nopermissions:block, so every job got the repo's default token scope, including jobs that runnpm installacross every dependency.Testing note
docsonly runs onmaster, so this PR's CI doesn't exercise it. Check the firstdocsrun after merge.Existing issue (fixed separately in #596)
release.ymlsetscontents: read, butAButler/upload-release-assetsneedscontents: writeto attach files to a release. It hasn't failed yet because no release has run since #586 added that block (the last one, v9.0.0-rc.1 on 2026-09-08, predates it). The next release would fail at the upload step. #596 moves the permissions to the release job withcontents: write.Stack
