## Dropping Support for Objective-C

We are dropping support for Objective-C in Protocol Buffers in the v38 release.
This follows CocoaPods becoming read-only on December 2, 2026 (as announced in
2024 [here](https://blog.cocoapods.org/CocoaPods-Specs-Repo/)). There are no
plans to publish Objective-C to SwiftPM due to lack of demand and support for
non-ARC code.

Objective-C will remain in our long term support release (37.x) until Q1 2028.
